After last year's throwdown, in essence the birth of the Zodiac series, it was impossible to resist another gathering at the CCCB's charming C3 bar, who have this year granted us an extended timeframe to ensure every single party person in the place to be has the possibility to lose themselves in the style of this month's sponsor, Capricorn.

We have a stellar collection of spinners ready to lay it down from the grapes til the early morn. weird grooves and unsettling sounds will be provided by Sonic Reducer aka Arnau Sabate, the brain behind A Viva Veu. Slick Dixxx and Taser T make up a new syndicate specialising in soundtracks to any self-respecting illegal activity, and it goes by the name of C.R.I.M.E. DJ G and Fabian Roelandt will keep things rolling with a pristine selection of inter-generic club joints, while we are delighted to welcome back Ari Up to destroy the area round after round of dancefloor missiles. Special guesting on the bill will be Swedish tag-team Bella Boo & Ominous K, bringing the ultimate there could be in futuristic beats.

Tickets are still going for 10 euros in advance, exclusively from Discos Paradiso: hurry that ass up though, they sold out last time around. Those getting in before one will enjoy a reduced price of 12 euros, and my fashionably-late team best have 15 euros ready to pay our charming public relations team.

No, the ex (?) lead singer of Blur has gathered together a top selection of electronic producers to contribute to this compilation described below.

"Kinshasa One Two was recorded in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo over 5 days this past July. DRC Music (a collective of producers gathered by Damon Albarn) set out to make an album with contemporary Congolese musicians and worked with more than 50 local performers including Jupiter and the Okwess International, Bokatola System and Nelly Liyemge. DRC Music is comprised of producers: T-E-E-D (Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs), Dan The Automator, Jneiro Jarel, Richard Russell, Actress,Marc Antoine, Alwest, Remi Kabaka, Rodaidh McDonald and Kwes, with album artwork by Aitor Throup and Hardy Blechman. Invited by our France frères Je Déteste La Musique, we decided to take the scenic route with a car and a couple of tents, camping in Montpellier along the way.

The night itself was the last one the crew will hold at the impressive MC2 venue in Grenoble, and over the few years they've been holding nights there they have invited a fair few heavyweights to the Alpine town, and built up quite a following who go bananas from 1am til the night is over, and that is no exaggeration.

In the absence of a PDJ gig this year, allow myself to invite yourselves to the #1 Thursday Get-Down for my Off-Sonar teaming.

While the Barcelona prepares itself for a weekend of advanced music and city-wide events, Zodiac returns to its home on Montjuïc for the first pool party of the summer and an amazing line-up of artists to rival any stage you could be at over the Sonar period.

We are delighted to be able to announce our hook-up with Berlin-based house agency Jackmode, who have put together an international cast of dancefloor masters to kick off proceedings at the festival.

Fans of the new directions of house music will salivate at the thought of the team we will be presenting on the Thursday night that for the past few years has played host to a number of quality off-Sonar events.

So, without any more beating around bushes, we have a very special Made To Play guest around, joint by Zombie Disco Squad, Oliver $ (Made To Play), Sasse (Mood Music), Chopstick & Johnjon (Suol), Penner + Muder (Wazi Wazi), J.Phlip (dirtybird) and Slick D. (Plat Du Jour).

The venue itself is totally unique. Just a ten-minute walk from Plaça Espanya leads you to an isolated country club, whose swimming-pool area and bar we commandeer for the purposes of an astrally-inspired throwdown.

In promoting the event electronically, we have been able to keep costs down, so we're proud to announce that tickets cost just 5€ in advance, available at Discos Paradiso, a minute from the Sonar Day venue, or from Resident Advisor who got the early bird tickets 5€. What is your current favourite record?

There are too many records im digging at the moment but if i have to pick a club oriented one it´s "Computor Rockers - Computor Interface 12" (Breakin´Records, 2007)". It´s not so new but still a fresh record for me and represent a ton the stuff im in at the moment, also i´ve been very into DMX Krew and his other aliases since i started to make music. His new BBII - Tropical Laser Fantasy/Sagittarius 7" (Fresh Up Records, 2010) which is a mix of disco/library funk it´s killer too! Also the new "Ill Blu - Meltdown 12" (Numbers, 2011)" is one of my favourites to play at parties.

To listen at home i prefer a quieter mood and the ones constantly on my player at the moment are "Games - That We Can Play EP (Hippos In Tanks, 2010)", Lukid - Chord (Werk Discs, 2010) and each and every Madlib Medicine Show released until now (from 1 to 11).

What is the ultimate end of the night track?

A good track to end the night could be "Kid606 - Catstep/My Kitten/Catnap Batstep DSP (Hrvatski remix)" or this raptor house track called "Pan Con Mortadela" by an artist i haven´t found who it is. Most djs finish their sets same way they start them but nothing better than break that a bit and putting something fresh for your ears!

Which artist gets ultimate Cardopusher respect right now?

Im really feeling the recent record on Rephlex by an artist called Jodey Kendrick . Apparently he has been around for a couple of years and has just a few releases. There is not much info on the internet about him but sounds like it could be an AFX alias, im just keeping an eye on what he´s doing, loving the way he mix acid/funk/techno/drum machines stuff! Also a new artist who i discovered recently and im feeling a ton is Delofi, a guy from Cleveland who makes like an overdriven abstract hip hop. He is also part of Matthewdavid´s label Leaving Records along Yuk. and Ras G among others.

What parties are showing the rest how it's done?

One of the best gig i ever played has been at Boom Festival in Portugal, i never been in a festival like this before, located like 3 hours from Lisbon at Idanha-a-Nova Lake. It´s a very impressive place full of nature and the whole festival is independent covering music, art and loads more. i went with lot of friends who were also playing so definitely that made it even more special! After 3 days we didn´t want to leave the place! Also Bang Face Weekenders in the UK (at Pontins, a holiday centre located in Camber Sands) are huge!
