Shissshh. Better late than never. This dropped last week, I was doing my hair or summit! AC Slater is rather dope, hell, we love him. Check the vid with them T&B crewers larking around. Bounce.
Don't sleep on this one! The release of "The Creature From Jekyll Island" the 2nd album by Jamtech Foundation. Ferran got lazy. Heston's a right royal bell pepper. Their party couldn't last for ever! BLAM!
René Redzepi's Noma (Copenhagen) tops list of world's best restaurants.
"The annual list of the world's 50 best restaurants was unveiled in London tonight, containing some unpalatable news for those in the UK's culinary scene – and a new No 1. Just three UK restaurants made it on to the list, the publication of which is one of the biggest events in the food world's calendar. This was one fewer than last year, and only half as many as 2008, when six British restaurants were deemed to be among the world's best." - CHECK MORE AT THE GUARDIAN

Stole this from Desparrame. JEJE. John Talabot is playing this years Sonar. His tunes are proper summer, blend that with a Delorean remix and you have summer x infinity. Enjoy Pig Fans! These are two of our favorites right now.
Liege Toxcity is not known as such because it is the ideal getaway for young neo-conservative newlyweds. Non! Liege is the home to one of the most extreme art and party scenes in Europe, and the Partyharders are the cordon bleu.
Peep the best design on the planet coupled with a new exxxclusif mix by Jean Nipon at their very website herre:
Swindle is working hard to define a current UK sound that seems to evade definition at every corner. After turning heads with his remix of Terror Danjah's dirty grime banger 'Zumpi Hunter' – an exercise in modern electronic madness akin to Joker - he rapidly switched direction with his two most recent releases, the ‘Who Made Funk’ EP and ‘Airmile’s EP. His own take on the funky house sound is on full display on Who Made Funk, and features collaborations with vocalists Shea Soul, A.L and Nadia Sulliman amongst others. Whilst the smoothness that flows throughout ‘Who Made Funk’ evokes a soulfulness akin to more commercial club releases, his brand new ‘Airmiles’ EP feels like a more personal experiment. An entirely instrumental endeavour, ‘Airmiles’ smashes driving garage into filthy basslines that will leave enough heads ringing to ensure heavy club rotation once it drops on April 26th. Second time on the blog and well deserved too... Airmiles by swindleuk
For Kerplunk Part One, he decided to strip everything right back and make an early 2000 / Golden Era / DJ Oddz style 8 Bar Grime Track with a Kerplunk breakdown.
Attracted to the social message intertwined within the lyrics of Vybz Cartel's medium-length rasper, I have decided to distract the listener from the verbs and nouns with a large variety of extra noises that should please minds and motivate rumps
Philanthopist souls with an affiction for nu pop-art and skateboards might do well to inform theyselves of a charity auction organised by Howies of Bristol.
Say they:
"The howies shop on Queens Road, Bristol will be holding an exhibition of rare, original vintage skateboards through the ages, from the private collection of Shiner Distribution.
"Also, we asked a bunch of our favourite artists to create some one-off hand decorated boards that could be auctioned off to raise funds for Unicef.
"We gave each of them an original 1980s blank deck from Shiners’ private collection and let them
do their thing.
"The results are a showcase of their unique take on what the skateboard and skateboarding means to them.
"Nobody got paid for the work they did. They all gave up their time, sweat, paint and ink voluntarily for the cause, so hats off to them for that.
"You can bid for the boards on eBaywhen the auction begins on 16th April 2010 at 6pm.
Was digging around and found this. I am also already very excited about their debut EP on Trouble & Bass which has just gone up on the their myspace. I was right to be excited. Check 'Still Believe' and 'Ghost Writer' HERE!!
This is my new section where I will daringly expose those occasional glorious moments in time where Scall discos up and down the country get it right and get down, seemingly through no fault of their own, to a genuine banger-langer.
Ladies and Gentlespuds, I give you "Up Middle Finger".
This is a bit of a curveball but aside from your other wig-outs this weekend, get your wig around this event.
Saturday April 17th is Record Store Day. This years' patron is Queens of the Stone Age uber-ginge Josh Homme, who has provided this footage to promote the event: This thing got up and rolling in 2007 at independent shops in the US, and is now linked with some shops in the UK too. Expect Spain to catch on in about 2087. Anyway, various special events take place in record shops all about the place, including the usual DJs, corn dogs, body painting and limited edition pressing release party jump-off wig-outs that hairy backpackers can dream up to encourage outsiders into their musty lairs on a Saturday afternoon.
This weekend, I say, forget about an MP3 and go and cop yourself a real-life tactile piece of music from a shop around your way, regardless of if they even know about this special day. When that moody twat condecendingly hands you your change you can shed him some light on the occasion and maybe he'll be better prepared for next year, saving the soul of the industry in the process.
So Razz seem to be trying to muscle in on the bass game los jueves, with a few quality city nights attracted by the reliable management and familiar setting, including dubstep juggernauts B.Low.
I feel embarrassed to say that I have yet to darken their door, but tonight the duck shall be boken as we go and represent for the team, with the soundtrack provided by a Punch Drunk upstart who goes by the name of Peverelist.
Those familiar with Guido will already have an idea of which way the night is headed, luxurious textures and post-Armageddon basslines order of the day, and enough organic percussion to keep the dancefloor rolling along.
This is nothing frantic, all about the craft and the mood, just what I personally am after after the last few weeks. Reach!
...for badly jacking UK Funky a couple of posts ago. He is one of the best and has been for a minute! His stock is back up on the up, albeit unintentionally, via this Tommie Sunshine Hip-House SMASH:
I aint saying a word... Just listen. This selection of clips from the new album you may have heard before but they have been cleaned-up, or dirtied-down. They sound fantastic, right?!
On Jubilee's label Nightshifters, remember we put you up on her a minute ago, comes this doozy of a jit track by Rx, who to add insult to injury, blesses us with the free EP download, via Palms Out Sounds.
Discos Paradiso is a brave new venture about to test the waters of the vinyl-buying public in Barnaland. I have high hopes for them. They have the taste (illustrated in their blog), the location, the local connex and the space, as we will see tomorrow (Friday) night!
All down to the shop then fairly early, 2100 say, for drinkies, finger-food and Sinapsis BCN Soundsystem all up in the mini-gig spot they got tucked all up in the back of the shop.
The after party be at BeCool, the best thing about Pedrables, where one of our close personal favourites Chelis will be all up in the mix. To remind your head how that might sound, let me refer you back to the funk mix from hell that he put together for Desparrame a while ago.
